Marbella Arena offers a full programme of concerts and shows, including the world premiere of Carmen, the flamenco musical

On the 10th of June Marbella Arena will host a musical show on ice with versions of songs from the films Frozen 1 & 2. This musical stands out for its impressive staging, giving the audience an unforgettable performance, with more than 300 costumes, combining dancing on ice, circus art and live songs. On the 16th, 17th and 18th of June Marbella Arena will be rocking to the rhythm of the blues with the Listen to the Blues Festival. Lovers of this musical genre will have the opportunity to enjoy artists of the stature of Ben Poole, Rozedale, Erick Steckel, Red Beans & Pepper Sauce, Philip Sayce and Manu Lanvin in the original setting of the old bullring in Puerto Banús. A Summer full of music

Rock music will take centre stage at Marbella Arena with the performance of Bi-2 on July 7th, one of the most important Russian rock bands. The group will make a stop in Marbella on their world tour of the album Aleluya. This concert will be a film version of the album, the visual component of which is developed by director Max Shishkin. In addition to new songs from the Aleluya album, the band will perform hits from different periods such as Prayer, Slippery streets, My love, Barbara, My Rock and Roll, Silver or Nobody writes to the colonel. Rap lovers have an appointment at Marbella Arena on July 8th to enjoy the performance of Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus), American rapper and composer. This artist has achieved great success both as a solo artist and as part of a group, he was part of the Hip-hop group Migos. Some of his most famous songs are How Did I Get Here, Stir Fry, Clout, Versace and Bad and Boujee. Tickets will also be on sale soon on the Marbella Arena website.

On July 20th, rock will continue to sound on the stage of Marbella Arena with the performance of Splean, another of the legendary bands of Russian rock, in one of their only three concerts in Spain. The band will present The Best and the concert will include songs such as Life Line, No Exit, Orbits Without Sugar or Get Out of My Head.

On July 27th Marbella Arena will vibrate to the rhythm of funk, disco, R&B and soul of The Jacksons, one of the most successful bands in the history of music. The Jacksons come to Marbella Arena to delight the audience with classic songs such as ABC, Blame it on the Boogie, I want you back, Dancing Machine or Shake your body (Down to the ground).

World premiere of Carmen, el Musical Flamenco

On August 11th Marbella Arena hosts the world premiere of Carmen, The Flamenco Musical. Based on this well-known work by Georges Bizet, the musical director and composer Óscar de Manuel has created this musical, a masterful combination of opera and flamenco. The choreography is by Jesús Carmona, winner of the Benoise de la Danse and National Prize; the stage direction is by Ignacio García and Juan Conchillo.

Carmen is a powerful musical where the most contemporary flamenco dance will transport us to a dreamlike universe. A unique vision of the freedom, passion and depth of Carmen’s character as never seen before.

This show will be the first flamenco musical in the world and on its tour of Spain it will also be at the Teatro Real in Madrid.

The concerts continue in Autumn

Singer-songwriter Chris de Burgh will perform at the Marbella Arena as part of the Fun Time in Marbella Festival on the 30th of September. His concert will include his signature song Lady in Red, as well as many other hits such as Don’t Pay the Ferryman, High on Emotion, Fire on the Water, Missing You and The Simple Truth. Another Fun Time in Marbella event will take place on the 26th of October. Marbella Arena will sound the beat of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and will bring together renowned international artists in an unforgettable celebration of the music and culture of those decades. Artists such as Smokie with songs like Living Next Door to Alice, Needles and pins or Lay Back in the Arms of Someone; Lou Bega who will sing classics like Mambo Nº 5, Sweet like cola or I Got a Girl; Jenny Berggren, the voice of Ace of Base with hits like All That She Wants, The sign or Beautiful Life and Rednex who will perform classics like Cotton Eye Joe or The Spirit of the Hawk.

Marbella Arena continues to expand its programme and is closing dates for new concerts and shows “which we will soon be informing you about”, said Luis Miguel Martín, president of the Marbella Arena Group.
